Dear Doris,
The air feels chilly + the weather reports say snow tonight + tomorrow a storm coming up the coast from Georgia, with rain, snow + gales of wind, this morning was the coldest of the season our fire was most out, not any heat at all, but it came up quiely. I have finished one quilt + shall send it along Monday, and the other I will do at my leisure. Amos came up to see me this afternoon they were much pleased with the babies picture + said it was as good as if an artist took it. Ella's sister is with them sick with a cancer, for the last six weeks. she has been sick they will soon have to get a nurse, but she is not much care yet, its in her stomach.
