7 Impudence, swearing or indecent and unseemingly language to or in the presence of the employer or the family or his agent, or quarreling so as to disturb the peace of the farm and if repeated will be followed by dismissal and loss of all compensation 

8 All difficulties that may arise between the employees shall be adjusted by the employer, an appeal may be taken to an agent of United States government or a magistraid and all time so lost will be charged pro rata their share in the crop and to revert to the employer.

9 All abuse of stock, or wilfully breaking of tools, or throwing away gear will be charged against the employees.

10th A cheerful and willing performance of duty will be required of the employees, and he shall loose his interest wholely if leaves before the crop is secured.

11th Stock must be fed and attended to on Sunday.

12th The employees will be expected to look after and study the interest of the employer, above mentioned, inform him of everything that is going amiss to peaceable orderly & pleasant, to discourage theft and endeavor by conduct to establish by conduct to establish a caracter of of honesty, industry and thrift.

The above contract and agreement made and entered into by John Simmons as employer and the undersigned freedman as employees is made in good faith without any reservation and considered valid and binding between both parties from date for the Jan 1866
