Agreement with Freedman

This agreement made and entered into this the fourth day of January 1866 I Mary Culpeper of the first part hereby agree to give the undersigned labourer of the second part wholesome food clothing and shoes and also the fourth of the crop that made on my plantation this year except the sugar cane that is all mine

I Nancy Freedman of the second part hereby agree that my two sons Lewis aged 16 Willis aged 10 shall do good and faithful labor and obey and work after the instructions of of their employer untill the first day of January 1867 for the fourth of the crop food clothing  shoes sugar cane excepted
