from, or shal refuse to perform the labor here in promised, and the fact shall be proven to the satisfaction of the proper offices, the party or parties so offending shall be punished in the maner provided by law and order.

And it is for further agreed on the part of the parties of the second part, that any time lost by him or his wife may be charged to them in proportion to the pay that he receives for his labor, provided that no time lost by rainy weather, shall be charged against the laborers

And it is further agreed that any wages due the said laborers, shall constitute a first lien on all crops produced on said plantation by their labor.

In witness whereof the parties above affixed their names to this agreement on the day and date aforesaid
