State of Mississippi Lowndes County
Contract made and entered into between William B. Harrington of the first part and Elbert Bluet of the second part agrees to hire the party of the first part commencing January 1, 1866 until January 1 1866 and he agrees good and faithful labor and further agrees to furnish his own clothing and pay his own doctor bill and deduct all lost time either from sickness or otherwise now the party of the first part agrees to furnish good and suficent rastons and house rent and fuel and he further agrees to pay him at the end of the year 1866 one hundred and fifty Dollars in the currency of the country now the party of the second part agrees to get up when my white hands gets up and go to work when they go and come when they come eat when they eat and do all things common about the house and yard and feeding of stock as the white ones Do now if the party of the second part fails to comply with the above rules ther shal be so mutch deducted from his wagers as two disinterested citazeons may say.
