Rules.

The Laborers will be required to rise at the blowing of the horn at the break of day & begin work at or before Sunrise, & do good and faithful work. The beginning & leaving off work and the mode & manner of doing work, will be under the manager. For all time lost & for bad work, deductions will be made, and in cases where entire days are lost from Sicness or other good causes, deductions will be made covering expenses. but under all other circumstances, deductions covering wages & rations, will be made. Two hours at Noon will be given for dinner in the months of June July & August, & one hour in other months of the year, (2) All abuse of Stock or improper use of, or neglect [[illegible]] breaking or loseing tools Gear &c will be charged to Laborers acct to be first approved by proprietor
(3d) Every Laborer must feed and attend to the Stock [[illegible]] other, necessary work assigned to him at all times, Sunday's in [[illegible?]] 
4th All difficulties that may arrise between Laborers, [[illegible]] adjusted by the employer or Manager
5th For impudent profane or indecent language to [[illegible]] presence of the Manager, or quarreling, fighting, Stealing, disobedience [[illegible]] willfull neglect of duty, quitting work without permission & offenses of like Serious character, the Laborer will carried before a magistrate or other proper officer for punishment.  All expenses loss of time &c will be charged to the Laborer. In all cases of dismissal or voluntarily quitting plantations, the Laborer forfeits all unpaid wages, and his family or dependents will be dismissed at the discretion of the Manager
6th During work hours, the Laborers will receive no visits, nor Visit, with the permission of the employer or Manager except on Sunday's
