State of Mississippi Lowndes County
Contract made and entered into between William B Harrington of the first part and I David Blewet and his Wife Peggy of the Second part agrees to hire to the party of the first part Commencing January the 1st 1866 untill January the 1st 1867 and they agree to do good and faithful labor and further agree to furnish their own Clothing and pay there own Doctor's Bill and Deduct all lost time Either from sickness or other wise. Now the party of the first part agrees to furnish good and sufficient Rations and house rent and fuel and further agrees to pay them at the end of the year 1866 two hundred and seventy dollars in the currency of the country. Now the party of the second part agrees to get up when my white hands gets up and go to work when they go and come when they come eat when they eat and do all things comon about the house and yard and feeding of stock as the white ones do. Now if the party of the second part failes to comply with the above Rules there shall be [[?]] Deducted from there wages as two Disinterested Citizens May say
