That the Said Danl Ellis of the first part has this day entered into a bargin with the underSigned freedman and woman of the seckond part for the pirpus of cultivating his farm for the year 1866 The Said Danl Ellis of the first binds himself to firnish the Said parties of the Seckond part with Quarters fuel Rashins and pay them Each one fourth of an average hands Shaer of the corn fodder Cotton potatoes and peas raised and Saved on the farm of the party of the first parte, The Said parties of the Seckond part binde themselves [[strikethrough]] are [[/strikethrough]] to do good and faithful work of any and all kindes necessary to be dun on the farm in the way of improving the place, when the interest of the crop dus not demand there work and thay are to observe the following Rules to wit The labourers are to rise in the morning at day get their brakfast & get to work by Sun rise if posable, Rest on hour at dinner time during the months of January February and march one hour and a half in April and May, Two hours in June July and august, one hour and a half in September, and one hour during the balance of the year work to Stop at night time Enof to do all the frading and all other busness by dark, the woman to have Each Saterday Evening to wash for her family Some important work Shal claim her attention [[strikethrough]] work [[/strikethrough]] until night, The Said parties of the Seckend part is not, to Swair nor use any indeacent langage
