This construct made between M. A. Fitzgerald of the first part and Anthony Booth & Henry Peltz Moses Booth Freedmen of the second part, Witnesseth that, that Anthony Booth & Henry Peltz Moses Booth with their dependents agree to work for said Fitzgerald during the year 1867, to do all necessary work about the farm [[strikethrough]] & obey all orders of said Fitzgerald[[strikethrough]] in consideration of the above services faithfully performed said Fitzgerald agrees to furnish said Freedmen, quarters & to give them one half(1/2) of the cotton & cotton & corn & potatoes & c that they may make & gather the year 1867 The said freedmen furnishing their own provisions & Paying their own Doctors Bills out of their crop
