On my return from Helena I find your communication of May 10" 1866, requesting me to name the Author of the report that you are interfering with Schools at Pine Bluff.

In reply I [[strikethrough]] would [[/strikethrough]] have the honor to state that no such report has reached this office. Sometime since, however, it was incidentally mentioned in my presence that the Sup't at Pine Bluff had suggested taking Mr. Byers School house for other purposes.
