I have the honor to request an order directing Rev. E.K. Miller, Asst. Supt. of Education, to visit Camden from Pine Bluff, for the purpose of securing the coöperation of the freedmen at that place in building a school house and establishing a permanent school.

On your return from Camden under Special Order No. 62 you will return by Arkadelphia and there make a careful inspection of all matters pertaining to the freedmen's school taught by Mr. Geo. Hare. Information is especially desired at this office as to the propriety of taxing the freedmen
