Circular Letter
A copy of the "Vanguard of Freedom Manual" is sent to all teachers who report to the Bureau of Refugees and Freedmen with the hope that a Division of the Vanguard will be formed in connection with each school without delay.
These Societies are legitimate auxiliaries to the educational work, and through them hundreds of children may be trained to habits of sobriety and purity; while the transaction of the business of the Division will afford excellent training to the boys in parliamentary and business forms. When the Society is organized the number of members should be reported monthly on the School report.
Any number of copies of the Manual may be had at cost by addressing A.E. Newton, Gen'l Secretary V. of F Washington D.C.
