Dear Sir,
Your favor of Feb'y 6" asking for a list of teachers in my district who are authorized to purchase Subsistence Stores, etc. was received on the eve of my departure for this place and the list would have been furnished at once had I been in possession of the necessary facts from this point. My stay here is unexpectedly protracted four days longer than I anticipated. The list shall be furnished immediately on my return to Little Rock on the 10 instant.

Sir,
I have the honor to request an order directing Rev. E. K. Miller Asst. Supt. of Education to visit Sebastian and Crawford counties in the interest of Refugee and Freedmen's Schools.
Mr. Miller will make his head quarters at Ft. Smith for Several weeks and it is hoped will be able to make Such representations to the Missionary Association, being State Agent for the Same, as will induce them to send

laborers to that point. He will also [[?]]in by holding meetings among the freedmen and otherwise to hasten the erection of a school house there.
