Nowell, Thomas
Pine Bluff, Ark

Dear Sir:
I herewith enclose five dollars ($5.00) received from Capt Brian. He states that no more can be collected at present and not at all except, possibly, through his office next
fall. The Captain wishes me to assure you that he has done all in his power for you,
which I have no doubt is the case. He is greatly disappointed in the conduct of Williams the planter.
Very truly yours
