Sir:
Yours of the 9th enclosing deed to ground for a school site in Perry county is before me.

We will pay a liberal rent for any building in Perry county or any other county in your district where a school of 25 pupils or more is kept up and reported. By so doing we help those who help themselves, and aid those who are most deserving first. Now let the neighborhood that proposes to win go to work in earnest.

Very respectfully,
Wm. M. Colby,
Asst. Supt. of Schools.
