There is quite a demand for teachers and I should rejoice to have you and Mrs. A. return, but so many fail us we can not undertake to make positive engagements for teachers in advance of their arrival. Camden is provided for by the Town. Accept regards for yourself and Mrs H.

Absence from the city for two weeks accounts for the delay in answering yours of the 24" September.
I now reply, 
1. My department does not employ teachers, it only furnishes facilities for the prosecution of their work.
2. The bureau does not furnish transportation for teachers. 
3. For lady teachers wages vary from $30. to $100. per m. paid by the district. 
4. There is a surplus of teachers in the Little Rock schools
