Dear Sir,

I have been officially informed that as soon as certain formalities are complied with the Gov't School buildings in Ark. will be transferred to the Supt. of Education or permanently made over to the trustees who own the land upon which such buildings are situated. My recent recommendation was that the Supt. of Education have custody of the buildings

I fear that a transfer to the trustees at this time would work an injury if not an injustice to the A M A and considerably embarrass our work. Your opinion in the premises would doubtles have much weight with the Commissioner.

Very Respectfully,
Wm M. Colby
Supt. Ed.
