In reply to your request of the 3rd inst. on behalf of C.L. Sutton Esq., trustee, for a release from rent of the government school house while used for a public free School for children regardless of color, I would respectfully state that the same is to be furnished the district free of charge for the present and the preceding time, unless
the district fails to compensate Mary B. Stuart for services during the same period.  Attention is called to the Circular of Supt. Smith dated Nov. 11. 1869.
