I am gratified to learn that you are occupying the new School house. Presume Gen. Howard informed you that it would be necessary for you to have a certificate from the Circuit Supt. (Mr Gillem) before contracting with the trustee. I have conferred with Mr. Gillem who seems disposed to do just right and who will doubtless assist you in the matter of complying with the legal formalities necessary to make the school a public free school.
