Little Rock, Ark. Apr. 27.'70.

Miss F. A. Couch,
[[?]] Va.
Your letter of the 18th is just at hand. There is and will continue to be a lively demand for teachers in this state who are willing to go into the country where the fare will be rough but the pay very good-Say $10. to $60.00 a month.

Two trustees have recently applied to me for teachers to begin schools in June and July respectively over on the Ark. Riv 60 miles above Little Rock and the other not many miles from Clarendon on White River. It is sometimes difficult to find suitable places for ladies to board but in the districts mentioned the trustees would do their best to make the teacher comfortable
