under the strain even stayed in the hospital with her before he died. I guess that child must have died no mention is made of him.
Lottie called me up yesterday to tell me what she had learned about Lena through Mary Lynch it seems Lena is taking care of an old lady, she thought in Clearwater, + was asking Mary Lynch if she knew how I was, you see I have never written to her since she left town, as I didn't know how long she would stay in one place. Lotty says that Mary told her, she had given up her tenement there at the [[Leggs?]] + would go up to New Hampshire to live when she came back probably as she never liked that place on [[Seares?]] Street it is too gossipy to suit me. they know everybodies business. I felt the atmosphere the time I went down to spend thanksgiving with her + was glad to get home + breathe fresh air once more. too many old gossips live down in that hollow for me.
Its a relief to feel that I have at last answered my cousins letter he probably is like me shut in although they have a car that his wife drives, I guess he married the right one from what I saw when they were here, she was much younger + had a care over him. he was quite feeble + dependant on her. they seem to be in pretty good circumstances financially which is lucky these times.
