Dear Folks

We are having a wintery day of snow & sleet, its cold so that our fires seem good. the walking is very slippery outside. every little while I try to think it will soon clear, but at present it seems to be snowing. To day is Hazels birthday, she would be 55 years old had she lived, funny, I always think of her as a little child always. The month she was born we had snow late & it seemed as winterish as this one.

I am glad you are having nice warm days we shall get them here later, with the birds & flowers, & everything to make us happy. if we dont get war I wont complain. it certainly looks more like clearing. the paper said pleasant weather this afternoon, hope so we have had the storm all this week, it began Saturday afternoon

I hope your foot is better. my toe is sore & I have got it done up with Mary gold salve which is very healing. a corn on the point & I picked off the scale too soon & while tender kept a going untill [[until]] it was bad. so now I have to favor it untill [[until]] it is better.
