Dear Folks

Thank goodness to day its [[it's]] pleasant but cool yesterday it rained with a dash of snow before my coal came yesterday. They managed to get it through the yard in spite of so much snow I hope we have seen the last of snow storms for a while any how. this seems more like spring weather aside from the snow banks in the fields & gutters.

Mrs Barry has gone down to the movies & is going to mail your bundle & pay the electric light bill & call on Mamie Kate if she has time. she tried to call up Mary Holmes Winslows but she got Sharlotte Ayers instead who does her work she asked her if she was going to continue to do her housework when she got into her house after it was finished & she said yes. Mary is having it made over & spending lots of money which is her hobby. The house was beautiful before, but now I expect it will be to her liking & very extravagantly furnished. its way over looking the railroad as you go to Gaston & where Alice his first wife was very saving Mary Holmes is for spending money. People say that was the cause of Forests death but guess not it was an accident.
