Stoughton March 17th 1939

Dear Folks

This is a very pleasant sunny day for which I am mighty glad of hoping it will melt away some of our big snow banks. The rain took some of it but there seems to be enough of it left. Sun does a great deal towards melting it away especially this time of the year.

I had to get paths dug & the man accross the way borrowed our snow shovel to make paths so his oil man could drive into the yard. there was an awful drift where the wind blew it into his driveway & far above his waist so it was impossible for anyone to get through. much more drive a big truck throu [[through]] such a drift.

Soper has just made his appearance so this might delay my letter. He is being entertained by Mrs Barry. She talks a mile a minute always. I am glad to see the last of him so much talk makes me crazy. can't stand any one long so nervous it makes me weak & am ready to collapse & simply can't stand it.

Transcription Notes:
Soper has been mentioned in other letters, also Mrs Barry
