Mrs Barry went to Chickataubut [[Chickatawbut]] yesterday & won a prize, it was a boquet of flowers. She came home tickled to pieces it & said she was glad because it was something that I could enjoy. there were pinks jonquils & balsams two kinds of each.

The postman is late & maybe my letter will be ready in time. I am enjoying this lovely sunshine as every day is the same to us shut ins & we have to make the best of it whether it rains or shines.

Mamie Kate is suffering with hives in a terrible condition she is almost crazy no relief any time & is there alone nights the doctor told her it was from ill nourishment & nerves. she has a woman come day times but is alone nights a lot she is getting paid for things she did when Eldon was alive its lucky his money holds out.

Alice Woods wants Mrs. Barry to come down tonight to one of her Irish parties. & hope she does'nt go time will tell. I dont care to be left here alone nights & Alice knows it but she wants her just the same.
