March so far according to pridictions [[predictions]]. I have just brought in my clothes from the porch they were all frozen stiff as pokers, a pretty winterish day out side. 

I have just been upstairs & cut out those other four curtains & glad I had something to do. besides looking to see this old storm. a good day to sleep hope I do tonight. the Leonards & Helen Metcalf took the right time to go to Bermuda.

Mamie Kate has got a nurse staying there with her & they say she is feeling much better. the Capens are feeling jealous, they want a second helping to her furniture & money, but she at last has found them out from this talk on their telephone, when they thought she couldn't hear. but she listened & heard & then got away from there as soon as she could find a place. she is in much better quarters now but alone over two very nice people who go out to work. (Olanders) they are Swedish people that she has always known. Milly Olander is a splendid cook. Marion Esten has her to do the cooking & take care of her family here when she goes down to the shore summers. so she is reliable. they have her to do cooking when theres to be weddings here in town. they own that two story home next to Dr Goldings & Mamie finishes the up stairs tenement & lives there very pleasant she can look clear up st & see the passing in the square Mon morn The storm still continues. blew a gale all night & snowed. everything is snowed up. this morning & snow coming down. no use to make paths now  Ma
