stomac [[stomach]] I fear. The Ballentines called here yesterday. they wanted to hear about Mrs Eddy as little Marie the girl that used to live with Addie was interested in Christian Science, & Addie had been reading the book that has been taken out of our library. she had got as far in it as when she came to live with us & wanted to know something more we told her it was all true but as they pretend now the book is all lies so have thrown it out of our library. I think she got her book out of town.

We have had Anna today to dinner, then about three o'clock Alice came with Mrs. Frank Rumsey her boarder, who has grown very old looking & is losing his mind Mrs Packard sent word to me she was sorry she was not able to come so far but would like to see me. it has begun to rain now, hope the snow stays off. Bill may come tonight so I will finish my letter & if he does will give it to him to mail.

I hope Sidney gets over his lame back & Doris her bad hand & sprained finger.

Alice says Myrtie has a soft job & gets ten dollars a week. no cooking or house work, washing sent out, the niece does all the work, they both go to bed at night, but sleep with their doors open to be within call if she wants any thing in the night mighty lucky as usual. Lottie had just called up to congratulate me on my 84th birthday Ma I feel I am well remembered
