more. Mrs Barry has just called up Cora Brock on Morton Street an old friend, who used to know her as a child when she was Blanche Monroe, she always went to her for comfort in trouble when visiting Mamie Kate & her aunt. she was younger & a terrible homely child, before her father had her face operated on & her teeth removed & after wards she became the best looking one of the three, so her father said, & wished her mother had lived to see her. Cora was much pleased to hear from her & says do come down to see me. so after the weather is good she means to go, its over the railroad & most to dry pond. I tell her its a wonder she has'nt looked her up before. Cora is an old lady now & unmarried her two brothers died Alice Bill married Frank. I remember him when Uncle George Talbot hired him with his boat to take us out to Minots light when we were staying to Nantasket with his family & ours, but it was too rough to land that was before I was married.

It does seem good to see the sun & have it so warm. we feel that spring is nearer at hand. yesterday was very winterish. we fead the birds. she found a little box in the back room, while the snow was coming down, you ought to see the little starved birds flock there all day long they were very hungry, as the snow had been here covering thing for a week or more & they are coming to day all the time. it seems good to watch them.

This morning it is warm & sunny the Sopers came last night I went to bed & got rid of them.
