Dear Doris

Have just got your Sunday letters they were very interesting. Helens especially she seems a good hearted person. her speaking about Henry & the rest of them at the present time when the tragedy is fresh in our minds, shows a generous disposition. glad you live away from it where you dont have to hear it discussed. Doris Soper was here this morning. she says they are going to give Florence the right to carry on the insurance business & Maude is with her sister Edith, the town will help her. this may not be correct. trust them for finding out things. she seems to have money & paid his masonic dues & in that way they gave him a masonic funeral, otherwise they wouldn't. she is going to give what he owed to the company. she lives with her mother but got rid of Maude after the funeral. if she runs the business & supports the family she will be doing all she should do without taking care
