of Maude. the town will give Maude ten dollars a week which ought to support her if she lives with her sister.

The people over across the way make use of my telephone in case of emergencies, the Walls dog got his paw cut & his master came over to call up his wife to tell her to bring up a doctor to keep him from bleeding to death. so she came over as soon as she could get home from work, to call up the veterinary to come & care for the little animal. the attic people also come over to order their oil they are very poor he cant find much work. so she goes out two days in the week & the baby is carried up to his folks its terrible to be so poor. they are nice people but get out of oil to keep them warm this cold weather. to day has been warmer but is cold tonight again.

This seems to be a hard winter now today is not so cold our ground is covered with snow & it was very red in the east early this morning more snow coming the radio says we will have a plenty of it this winter so far not much comes at a time enough to make it slippery going. theres been lots of accidents so look out for your autoes Ma
