Dear Doirs

I hope by now your lameness is better. I am so stiff in my joints that its hard for me to sit down or get up. say nothing about turning over in bed or climbing the stairs.

We are still having very cold weather but the radio says cold tonight but moderate tomorrow. so we live in hopes.

It seems according to last reports by radio that Germany is going in with Russia to fight Finland, (they have ordered it to teach them how to fight), the poor ignoramouses. is'nt it a shame? something may happen. we sincerely hope there will. not many can stand their terrible cold cimate. that alone should put a damper on the war but it dont seem to.

My war, nightdress you sent for my christmas seems to be the right thing these cold nights. I dont know what I should do without
