Stoughton December 21st 1938

Dear Folks

Our snow storm came Monday just a light one this time but with the mackrilly sky this morning. we look for another storm near at hand but hope it may be rain instead of snow.

Mrs Barry went to Boston shopping Monday & in there it snowed all day so her umbrella came in all right untill she colided with another womans hat & vail. she was marching along with her suitcase in one hand & her little hand bag under her arm that carried her umbrella pretty low down of course & she heard this awful yell behind her on looking aroun everybody was laughing & this woman behind her was saying "hear see where you are going" it seems she had her hat & vail on her umbrella marching along as unconsered as you please. the veil was hitched on to the umbrella in such a way she couldn't get it off & said "well madam I don't see what to do but to give you the umbrella" I don't want it I have got
