Stoughton December 14th 1938

Dear Folks

A nice sunny day but cool & windy for we cannot complain about the winter but little snow so far thank goodness.

Mrs Barry is invited to take dinner at some eating place near by a .50 dinner & to the movies after it Canta is taking her she is very fond of her & is better in health but will never get over her back trouble, caused from lifting her mother in her last sickness. she goes three times a week for treatments to Dr Caffery she thought the world of Dr Brides & knew his worth. & this doctor comes next.

They say Mary Holmes & Burth Winslow are very happy together since their marriage. so Marion Esten says the cannot let each other alone. he has a good salary & can give her a good home & perhaps she will get over her "Colitis" they say its brought on from worry. she is growing plump & they have sold out the brothers hardware store in Canton. he died so she wont have that to bother her now. she took charge of that as a means of livelyhood after Forest died
