now she has a husband who can give her plenty of cash which the first one could'nt.

I got a first xmas card today from Mamie Kate. she has been sick so doesnt write to her Stoughton friends some of them feel anxious Elizabeth Southworth called up Mrs Barry yesterday to see if she had heard from her. she misses her as she is down to that lonesome house day & night. her son dont come home every night, so she gets awful lonesome. she ought to get married. I should pity the man though she is a German I guess to the hilt, but good where she takes.

Dr Faxon has gone to the Mass General Hospital for a rest. his son is at the head of it, so guess it will prolong his life. he is 85 years now but looks much younger. he came of a long lived race & has taken pretty good care of himself he knew how.

Mrs Barry took down a box for Doris x present she was going to mail she certainly does enjoy giving presents for xmas I suppose she was always used to it & always had plenty to do with.

I am looking for Anna, she comes over here as she knows that I am alone & so is she a great deal Mrs Barry goes to movies a lot & is very popular with lots of people Alice called up yesterday to ask Gladys & your address so she may be sending cards for the holiday
