Dear Folks

This is a very cold morning 10° above, but as it is sunny & still we are fortunate the going is fairly good but slippery in places. Mrs. Barry is thinking of going to Brockton to get something for xmas. cards if nothing more her folks were sent home yesterday in an ambulance where Mamie may join them at a later date. she is'nt a bit well, her side pains her, from the effects of her accident, which she has not recovered from & may have to take an exray [[Xray]] to see what the cause is. she is not happy & never will be & as Oldons niece says why should she be?

Lena was here yesterday afternoon for a short time & said they had some roast pork which made her sick & asked me if I could eat it. yes as well as any thing I told her meat was something that was what I cared but little for any how my appetite was not what is used to be & there was'nt much I cared for these days it did'nt take much to satisfy me. the cider gave me the
