said he took down trees that there was no need of & the tree that fell on their garage they got off & had it to burn I was glad of it & told her a pity she had'nt taken more, he took advantage as there was no one to oversee his work. but he did a good job on the chimbney give the devil his due. & he did'nt put on a price. 

Well the car that was coming for Mamie Kate last night met with an accident at Middleton Connecticut. 16 miles from Concord. & both Ally & her sons wife are in a hospital with very bad bruises. but nothing as serious as first reported. they kept in touch with Mamie & she was informed several times yesterday about them. so called up Mrs Barry to tell her about it. she is going down this afternoon to see about it. & feels glad its not worse. we hav'nt heard anything about how it happened. her own sister but thinks more of Mamie than of anybody else. it was no day for them to come out. Rideout warned people over the radio, to be very careful about driving. Mamie should have gone by train she had a free pass. it was very foggy & the rain made it awful slippery. they took their chances & see what they got. lots of auto accidents these times. Mamie will have to go later but may have to spend her thanksgiving here she is pretty well stirred up over the whole affair. Ma
