                                          Stoughton September 13th 1938
Dear Folks
            This is the second day of the Brockton Fair
+ the sun has come out since noon + bids fair to be
a glorious afternoon, very warm + pleasant. I am here 
all by my lonesome. Mrs Barry has gone over to Brockton
to see that movie you recommended to her has being worth
while. last nigh it poured all night + cleared off 
this forenoon. 
               We went over to Abington to visit grave
yards. with Mamie Kate. her first husband was buried
there (Harry Shaw) then she stopped in Bandolph to 
order a five dollar lamp to give to Katherine Winships
daughter, as a wedding present, who is soon to be married.
then she came home to visit the Evergreen cemetery 
where Eldon was buried + all the Phenneys + watered
all the growing plants in each lot. or Orlander did
for her, he drove us in his car. Mamie lives there with
them + say she couldn't have got into any better quarters
they are both of them nice Swedish people like
