Stoughton July 22nd 1938

Dear Folks
St is showing signs of clearing weather we have had a week of tropical storm, due to atmosphere. the hot air over the Atlantic Ocean + no change until wind changes to the North West. I have never seen it rain harder. thunder showers have prevailed sometimes two a day + more
Alice comes tomorrow Mr Turner brings her over when he comes after Mrs Barry to start on his trip, hope they have sunny weather. this summer so far has been bad for vacationers. Mr Turner is discouraged + would like to give it up, he does'nt ask enough to make it pay well. he got his ear out + to save expense is overhauling it himself. he was tired out last night. she called him from Brockton to bring her over from Holbrook when she could'nt get hold of Bill who always brings her back when she goes over to have her hair done. he was'nt at home. it poured guns + stalled their car, poor Mr Turner was discouraged + was ready to give up their trip if possible luck is against
