him he is an awful good man & strictly honest she gives him courage he thinks.

Mrs. Barry has been preparing all the morning to leave the house perfectly clean & cooking so Alice wont have thing too hard when she comes. She has baked a fish & we have the remains of our fowl & she made a tapioca pudding & some cookies.  Now with canned beans & brown bread we shall get along pretty well.  

Mamie Kate has called up to say she is coming up to see her cousin before she starts, otherwise she would like to take a bath & pack her suit case, as she starts at quarter of eight tomorrow morning.  So you see we shall have to get up early, but Saturdays wake early every morning & make the fire, but shall have coffee made on the electric stove tomorrow.  

We have just sun as oriole on the bush, she was in raptures over him & wants me to tell you how beautiful he looks.  They are very showy, so are the scarlet tanagers.  Our catbirds are also very common in the yard, they have nests & are always feeding their young.  

Lottie Crane saw Lena go by her house to se eher doctor, he is doing wonders they say for her.  He is (most) as good as Dr. Ott the same kind of a doctor & twice as handy these days. [[?]] it look more like clearing.
