too ambitious & it never pays in the long run as you see. it takes more out of you than you can make by trying to rush & do things to save.

Kate Dykeman sent up a quart bottle of rasp berry jam & a huge bunch of sweet peas & pinks & when I called her up to thank her, she said she was going to send me some ripe berries, as her bushes were bearing well this year. I told her not to, as what she had sent was too much & with her family I thought she was able to get rid of them without any help, her folks she said had gone down to Plymouth for a two weeks stay at their summer cottage. she is alone there with her little ones I presume. my flowers look fine, the constant rains send [[strikethrough]]everything[[/strikethrough]] every thing ahead since the roses, my blue bells that seed themselves are blossoming every where, also the tiger lillies [[lilies]]. I wish you might see my keg of pink fairy lillies [[lilies]]. over thirty blossoms & these have come up the second time since picking off the first ones that have gone by, without any trouble from me, things have come along ever since early spring in their season, so I havent [[haven't]] been without blossoms. I never have seen thing look so fine. the snow of last winter covered the ground and protected their roots & the constant rain has had to do with vegetation I presume. Ma
