Alice called up to tell me she had been in town to the hospital for a treatment. so to ward off a spell with her sinuous [[sinus]] trouble. she does well to guard against it all she can. 

A week from today Josaphene [[Josephine]] comes for a few days visit, she will get Mr Turner to take her around & pay for the gas if he will let her. the most of the time she will be here will be nights & mornings. 

Blanche Hammond has just called up to ask her to go up to Lauras [[Laura's]] this afternoon, she is all alone & says she is dam [[damn]] lonesome, her folks have gone away for the day. George McGarvey is building a new pigeon house out this side of his dog yard. he means to go into the business again, so we shall hear a plenty of cooing. thats [[that's]] his hobby. he is a nice man just the same & Pete is better. his wife has made a great change in him. & is good to Old Marm McGarvey she even sings her praises. but has no use for Georges [[George's]] wife, they are an ideal couple I like them both.

I dont [[don't]] hear Lena say what she is going to do she is very close mouthed about her own affairs. she was taking some kind of a course at B University when she was taken sick in the spring. she seems satisfied down to Leggs doing nothing Ma
