Dear Folks

We are having it hot but the air is better than it was yesterday. the sky yesterday was mackerly so it may rain any old time as thats a true sign.

As I am here alone its a good time to write a letter although there is nothing of much importance to write about.

Yesterday Charley, Lillian, & Gladys called they had been to Brockton to see about Gladys job & they want her to come to work Monday & have even promised to pay her fare as she told them it cost her a dollar a day to go in & out. so she was afraid to invest in a trip ticket on an uncertainty since they docked them so much. that shows they value her work she is honest & dependable. the head one told her she could take twelve years off her age & get more pay. but that they would'nt advise her to do anything wrong most of people for business would'nt hesitate & guess it would be just as well these days. Charley is only working on half time so Lillian said.
