& said she was getting along fine & didn't mind it much, she is in love with the nurses & doctors & they call her an ideal patient.

Since Mrs Elmes died the little dog comes over to see us. we think he is lonesome, he is a very bright & intelegent [[intelligent]] dog "scotty" he takes to me more than anybody else. I can't step out without he sees me & makes a bee line & he is a very good natured little pet. he followed me in the front door yesterday & she gave him some little pieces of meat we had saved for him, & then as I was laying down on the lounge he jumped up on my pillow so careful & licked my face very softly twice & then jumped down. he has a great time with our two baby squirrels trying to get them down, they play with him by coming down the trees & then run up & he tries to climb up after them. he barks at cats.

I have sent for more rhubarb & take the other once in a while I have most a whole bottle of them, so am all right. you need not bother with them as I can get along with mine now Lena is going to John Hollis graduation. Theodore is to meet her in Boston this week & then the boy is going abroad to study right after his graduation, wonder what he is going to make hope his health holds out. his mother was feeble I didn't know she was asthmetic [[asthmatic]]. Lena was the one who we thought was going but she was taken first, so we can never tell who will be the one, it rests with the Almity [[Almighty]].
