Stoughton June 5th 1938

Dear Folks

A warm day after a rainy day & night. I have just taken off my blanket & put on my cotton sheets. am now in hopes of milder weather. ice for my food will come next. my milk sours but as we have bran muffins we have a way of using it up readily. 

I had a great treat to day for my dinner, two little fresh boiled lobsters she bought on her ride home Friday from the shore for 55. the first ones I have had for an age. they tasted fine. they were very meaty & Mrs Ballentine kept them on her ice so they would be nice & cold. she sent me over a piece of cake Addie had made with a candy frosting & am going to have for my supper.

I took my bath yesterday & washed out my clothes. then after hanging them out on the line, it began to rain. then I noticed a car had stopped out front. the folks as they got out looked very natural & who should it be but Everetts people Charley, Lillian & Gladys. being all by my lonesome I was mighty glad to see them. they had been riding around up to see their mother who is with Matty Sewall & the
