Writes on behalf of Mrs. Stewart teacher at Washington Ark stating that the freedmen there are divided into two parties one of which is attempting to break up her school, and asks if something can not be done to correct these abuses. Mrs. S. has applied to those of her own party but can get no assistance, and he, though a southern man would like to see justice done, etc.
