Forwards deed to a school site for freedmen at Fayetteville Ark., together with papers relating to the construction of a school house on said site. 5 Enclosures' | Office Supt. Education Little Rock Ark. July 29. '70.  Respectfully forwarded to Gen'l E. Whittelsey A.A.A. Gen'l Washington, D.C.   The site secured by the enclosed deed is in lieu of one heretofore secured to the A.M.A. [L.R. 73] The contract and accompanying papers were made in persuance of instructions from this office [L.S.231]  The contract is imperfect according to recent instructions, but is forwarded as furnishing the data for a new contract.  Mr. Henderson is one of the Circuit Superintendents of the State, and a friend to the freedmen. Communication with him by mail will be easier from Washington than from Little Rock. |
