We began moving to our new Home on the 21. ult. which occupied us very closely a week, and by the time we finished found ourselves quite exhausted and worn down in health. Chills seized our daughter Eliza Clark and dysentery myself and wife, and also some of our hired colored help, which must account for our deficiency in bringing up the Reports and collecting the items spoken of, as comprising a kind of General History of Schools among the Freedmen in Helena & vicinity from the beginning &c.
In much debility & feebleness I am Very Respectfully Thy friend
