I have the honor to acknowledge your letter, dated October 17th 1866. and in Reply, would most respectfully state, that the Colored people in this place, and willing to pay for the schooling, of about 65 children out of about 80; but they are about to have this place, in mass. to settle on Grand Prairie, and wish to established a school there. as soon as they have made, that important step. I shall inform you of the same.
