I do not know what arrangements may have been made since the last information that we have recd. from Mr. Shipherd, but we were not informed by him that we were to expect any pecuniary aid from the Bureau except in the supply of a building suitably fitted up for school. He informed us that there was a fund for that purpose, but at the same time we understood that our board, wages, and other necessary personal expenses were to be paid by the A.M.A. It was expected that one dollar per month would be charged such scholars as were able to pay, and that such income was to be applied toward our expenses.
