I respectfully add my endorsement to the suggestion of Mr Miller for the establishment of a teachers Home at this place.
This seems necessary to place teachers in that position of dignity and respect to which the noble and self-sacrificing work entitles them, and actually for their personal comfort.
It will form a resting point for teachers arriving from a distance; - a place of gathering as often as convenient for mutual improvement and encouragement - a Home and the assistance of kind friends in case of illness and a refuge in case of difficulty and persecution. The expense will be light compared with the good resulting.

I am. Sir. very respectfully
